Fine Dining Server

About the role

Responsibilities

• Take and deliver orders
• Ensure tables are clean and tidy upon guests arrival
• Present menus and serve food and beverages promptly and professionally
• Listen and respond to inquiries with a positive, clear speaking voice
• Maintain extensive knowledge of the menu and offer suggestions based on guests' preferences
• Able to safely transport hot and liquid items between the bar and kitchen
• Maintain a clean dining room area
• Anticipate and service guests' needs before they request
• Follow proper time and attendance and uniform procedures
• Able to ascertain guest satisfaction and handle any issues that arise

Requirements

• One year serving experience required
• Knowledge of the menu and beverage list
• Able to communicate clearly with guests
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
• Manual dexterity to use and operate necessary equipment
• Ability to communicate verbally, audibly, and visually

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Able to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely
• Auditory and visual abilities to observe and detect signs of emergency situations

• Respond quickly and properly in any restaurant emergency situation
• Maintain an alert and attentive demeanor at all times
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the dining room
