Financial Worker
About the role
Financial Workers determine eligibility and provide ongoing case management for public assistance programs such as food support, cash assistance, and health care programs. Their responsibilities include interviewing clients, assisting in understanding program requirements, validating information, processing documentation, and ensuring program compliance.
Responsibilities
- Interview clients, verify information, enter and maintain client information on computer systems, and assess and refer clients to outside agencies and programs when necessary.
- Administer and authorize the accurate disbursement of Federal, State, and County funds for public assistance programs.
- Work according to State, Federal, and County guidelines and procedures under the supervision of a unit supervisor.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license if required for the position.
Qualifications
Applicants must pass a computerized written assessment and meet physical requirements for the position. A drug test and background check are also required.

Pay
The salary range is $23.96 - $32.96 per hour. Longevity pay is included in the full salary range.
