Financial Trainer
About the role
Fitch Learning is seeking a Financial Trainer – Small Business / Consumer Credit based out of their New York office. This role involves designing and delivering high-quality training in small business and consumer credit analysis to improve client decision-making, risk management, and portfolio outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver in-house, virtual, and public courses focusing on small business credit analysis and consumer credit programs
- Translate complex credit concepts into engaging, practical learning experiences aligned with client objectives and Fitch Learning quality standards
- Aid in the preparation and continuous enhancement of training materials and assessments to reflect evolving industry practices and regulations
- Support business development processes as a subject matter expert, participating in scoping calls, tailoring proposals, and presenting program solutions
- Act as the first point of contact for content, technical, or process questions related to SME and consumer credit, strengthening client trust and program effectiveness
Requirements
- Extensive SME and consumer lending experience from a commercial bank, investment bank, rating agency, financial regulator, or similar financial institution
- Excellent presentation and listening skills, with confidence teaching complex topics to diverse audiences (virtual and in-person)
- Effective communication and a passion for education, with a demonstrable impact on learner outcomes
- A desire to expand subject matter expertise and continuously improve classroom facilitation skills

- Experience designing or delivering credit training programs or internal capability-building initiatives
- Facility with varied instructional methods and learning technologies to engage different learner profiles
- Strong professionalism and cultural awareness, with experience working across geographies and client types

Pay
The base salary for this position begins at $110,000 USD annually. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
Schedule
This role offers a hybrid schedule, combining both remote and in-office work.
