Financial Systems Analyst II - Budget with Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Support the formulation of organizational, program, and project budgets, including gathering data, forecasting funding needs, and developing budget plans.
• Aid in the justification of budget requests by preparing analyses, narratives, cost projections, and supporting documentation for leadership review.
• Participate in the execution of approved budgets, tracking obligations and expenditures, monitoring variances, and ensuring funds are used appropriately.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that support decision making.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership, auditors, and stakeholders.
• Maintain and update financial systems, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with budget processes.
• Collaborate with internal departments to collect financial information, resolve discrepancies, and support audits or reviews.
• Aid in the development and refinement of budget policies, tools, and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Offer guidance and support to staff on budget processes and system functionality.

Qualifications

• A degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
• At least 3 years of relevant budget management experience, or military experience at the rank of E4 or higher.
• Knowledge and skill in the applications of related laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods, and techniques of budgeting.
