About The Role The Financial Systems Analyst at Brightspeed plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between finance, business operations, and technology. This position involves translating complex financial and operational requirements into scalable, efficient system solutions that support the company's growth and operational excellence. The analyst will serve as a key liaison to the IT team, ensuring the smooth maintenance and operation of financial systems, safeguarding data integrity, and enhancing system security. Responsibilities include providing insightful reports and data analysis, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and developing documentation and training materials for system users. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of analytical prowess, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of finance, billing processes, and agile project methodologies. This role is critical in ensuring that IT solutions align with business needs, drive efficiency, and deliver measurable results. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.5 to 10 years of experience as a Financial Systems Analyst or similar role within a technology-driven organization.Minimum of 5 years of operational accounting experience and experience as an SAP Finance key user.Proven experience in project management, financial systems integration, and cross-functional program delivery.Experience developing business requirements, functional specifications, test cases, and release plans.Knowledge of Agile frameworks, user story creation, backlog management, and grooming processes.Strong organizational skills and stakeholder management capabilities.Proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Zephyr.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Preferred experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance, BRIM, RAR, CABS, or comparable ERP/billing platforms.Bonus points for experience with data analytics, reporting, customer lifecycle management, and telecommunications industry knowledge. Responsibilities Provide functional support for finance applications and business processes, working closely with IT to resolve production issues efficiently.Conduct root-cause analysis of system, billing, accounting, interface, and data issues, coordinating corrective actions promptly.Support financial reconciliations and monitor data integrity across upstream and downstream systems.Assess the operational and financial impacts of incidents, defects, system changes, and releases to ensure minimal disruption.Identify recurring issues and recommend sustainable system or process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.Support SAP S/4HANA GRC access monitoring, periodic access reviews, and remediation activities to ensure compliance with internal controls.Partner with business leaders to understand strategic objectives and translate them into clear, measurable requirements.Facilitate workshops, interviews, and documentation efforts to develop and maintain business requirement documents and process flows.Ensure alignment between business needs and platform capabilities across SAP, data analytics, and other systems.Identify gaps in business processes and recommend automation or process improvements.Collaborate with platform owners and product managers to translate business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria in Jira or similar tools.Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization sessions to ensure readiness for releases.Act as the primary liaison between finance stakeholders and technical teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration.Develop and execute comprehensive end-to-end testing scenarios, including positive, negative, reconciliation, and downstream validation tests.Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), document results, and support defect resolution prior to deployment.Validate financial transactions across integrated systems, ensuring accurate reflection in reporting and accounting processes.Conduct post-release validation and collaborate with business owners to confirm success metrics and user adoption.
