Vernovis is partnering with a leading organization to identify a Financial Systems / Accounting Systems Analyst to support financial systems, accounting processes, reporting, and strategic corporate projects.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain financial systems processes during month-end close and help improve and streamline closing activities.
• Develop and maintain financial systems supporting Accounting, including documenting and communicating system change requests and partnering with IT when necessary.
• Guide Accounting users on best practices, develop and deliver system training, and create user documentation as needed.
• Participate in key Accounting and corporate projects involving financial systems, process improvements, and technology.
• Facilitate workshops to gather business requirements and help design future-state solutions.
• Develop efficient reporting solutions and help establish reporting standards while promoting strong data governance practices within Accounting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience working with financial systems, accounting systems, or technical business processes.
• Strong Accounting knowledge with excellent analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Microsoft products and data analytics or financial applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Skills

• Experience with tools such as Alteryx, Oracle Database, SQL, Power BI, Databricks, Oracle Fusion, Python, or similar technologies.
• Experience supporting financial systems within the insurance industry.
• Experience gathering business requirements, facilitating workshops, developing user training, or supporting financial systems implementations.
