This role serves as a financial liaison to internal and external business partners (e.g., suppliers, carriers, IT, client services, etc.) and provides support by assisting stakeholders and management with payments, research, analysis, resolution, questions, and concerns.
Responsibilities
- Maintains and analyzes accounts and financial data to ensure accounts and variances are accurately stated; conducts timely reconciliations.
- Performs root cause analysis and research to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintains effective and productive relationships with both internal and external business partners.
- Handles incoming requests and communicates status/resolution to requestor and relevant stakeholders.
- Serves as a financial liaison responsible for Accounts Payable and relationship management; partners with internal and external business partners.
- Maintains vendor records and ensures compliance with internal controls and vendor onboarding requirements.
- Researches and resolves invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Prepares and processes electronic payments, ACH transactions, wire transfers, and check runs.
- Reconciles vendor statements and investigates outstanding items to ensure account accuracy.
- Monitors AP aging reports and assists in managing payment schedules to optimize cash flow and maintain vendor relationships.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- Four (4) years of experience in the accounting field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
- SAP and Coupa experience is a plus.
- Analytical and interpretive skills.
- Strong organization skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
