About the role
Responsible for managing tax compliance, preparing tax returns, and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and adherence to tax laws.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for clients.
- Monitor and advise on tax implications of business decisions.
- Analyze financial statements to identify areas for tax savings.
- Collaborate with external auditors to resolve discrepancies in tax filings.
- Train and mentor junior staff on tax procedures and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- CPA certification preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in tax preparation and consulting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with tax software such as TurboTax or TaxAct.
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations relevant to small businesses.
