About the role
This role is responsible for providing comprehensive advice and customized financial solutions to clients to help them achieve their financial goals. You will triage client leads, make referrals to business partners based on client needs and asset thresholds, review financial and investment goals, build financial plans, and recommend brokerage products. This position requires SAFE Act registration, including background checks and maintaining good standing in the federal registry system.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients to plan short and long-term financial goals by building a financial plan with brokerage products, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities, and banking or money-managed solutions.
- Recommend banking and investment strategies aligned with client financial goals and needs.
- Triage client requests and make referrals to appropriate internal service providers based on client needs and asset thresholds.
- Mitigate and control risk as part of daily activities.
- Identify and engage potential new clients through referrals or financial center clientele.
- Provide coaching and feedback to referral partners based on knowledge of client needs and potential product services.
Requirements
- Currently holds Series 7 & 66 (63 & 65 in lieu of 66) licenses. If you do not currently hold the 66 but have either a 63 or 65, an offer can be extended with the condition that a passing score is received for the missing series within 60 days.
- At least one year of experience in the investments industry, including investment training and in-depth knowledge of investment products and services.
- At least one year of experience working in the financial service industry and/or a sales environment where goals were met or exceeded.
- Ability to set and accomplish goals, build and nurture strong relationships, and collaborate effectively with others.
- Strong communication skills, comfortable engaging all clients.
- Ability to manage goals, navigate complexity, prioritize tasks, and execute in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptability to new information and a commitment to finding the right solutions for clients.
- Efficient time and capacity management.
- Thorough and thoughtful incorporation of relevant regulatory due diligence into daily activities and long-term client strategies.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong computer skills with the ability to multitask in a demanding environment.
- At least three years’ experience working in the financial service industry and/or a sales environment where goals were met or exceeded.
- Additional professional designations such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and/or Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC).
- Insurance licenses.
