About the role

As a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I), your journey begins with obtaining your Securities Industry licenses, including dedicated and personalized classes for your Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 Exams. Once licensed, you will learn the foundational skills needed to be an advisor—acquiring, building, and managing client relationships while guiding clients with advice and solutions tailored to their complex financial needs.

After reaching key milestones, you will work in a financial center delivering core banking, investment solutions, and client care. The Academy will support your development with programs, tools, and resources throughout your career. Upon demonstrating success, you may progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, deepening client relationships, and eventually advancing into other roles within Bank of America and Merrill.

This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. You will be required to register with the federal registry system and submit to a background check. Failure to maintain SAFE Act registration may result in termination.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 licenses within specified timelines (SIE within 30 days, Series 7 and 66 within 120 days).
  • Build and manage client relationships using a consultative approach to identify needs and recommend solutions.
  • Deliver end-to-end financial advice, conduct client reviews, and present strategies to help clients achieve their financial goals.
  • Collaborate with banking and investment partners to connect clients with solutions from Bank of America and Merrill.
  • Interact with banking customers, small business owners, and higher net worth clients to grow your network and business.
  • Leverage Bank of America’s relationships with one out of two U.S. households to expand your client base.
  • Execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing client interests.

Requirements

  • Aptitude for obtaining required industry licenses (SIE, Series 7, Series 66).
  • Self-discipline in managing time and capacity.
  • Experience cultivating client relationships, assessing needs, and recommending solutions.
  • Ability to build strong peer relationships through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on client interests.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technology or applications.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (minimum education requirement).

Qualifications

  • Currently holds FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) (desired).
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of one year of financial services industry or sales experience (desired).

Schedule

Monday through Fridays with rotating Saturdays. This is a full-time role (40 hours per week, 1st shift).

Pay

Pay range: $28.85 - $33.65 hourly, based on experience, education, and skill set. This role is compensated with a base salary and is not incentive-eligible.
