About the role

The opportunity involves leveraging extensive BlackRock Aladdin expertise to design, implement, and support cutting-edge investment management solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to configure innovative workflows, manage seamless integrations, and ensure peak operational efficiency and compliance alignment. Your role will blend hands-on project leadership with shaping the long-term roadmap within a dynamic and rapidly growing investment organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning activities with BlackRock and BlackRock Client key stakeholders to complete the following:
  • - Define overall project plan and lead multiple Aladdin implementation and enhancement projects end-to-end, from requirements through deployment and stabilization
  • - Lead BlackRock migration activities including environment readiness, data migration, regression testing and coordinating with infrastructure teams
  • - Define the Aladdin and Aladdin Data Cloud implementation roadmap, prioritizing initiatives that improve efficiency, data quality and compliance
  • - Drive and oversee Aladdin platform configuration, compliance rule setup, workflows, and integration points across modules
  • - Document BlackRock Client provided use-cases into a use-case catalogue
  • - Review asset class workflows provided by BlackRock Client to support organization of asset class prioritization plans within the Project Plan
  • - Assist BlackRock with creating/maintaining project key issue tracker to log & triage issues, liaising with Aladdin Client Transformation (ACT) teams to coordinate and drive for issue resolution
  • - Assist BlackRock with Governance reports (including status meeting updates, upcoming period deliverables, past due project items, percent task completion, and identifying responsible parties)
  • - Project Closure Report including BlackRock Client sign offs of the deliverables at the end of the project
  • - Coach junior business analysts, providing mentorship, technical guidance and professional development opportunities
  • - Lead cross-functional communication between front, middle and back-office teams, translating complex technical topics into clear business language
  • - Promote best practices in system configuration, change management and delivery methodology ensuring consistent project execution across teams
  • - Stay current on Aladdin product enhancements, new modules and industry trends to proactively identify opportunities for system improvement and automation

Requirements

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • A bachelor's degree and approximately 1+ years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 2 years of related work experience
  • Your degree should be in computer science, engineering, accounting, finance or a related field; MBA or MS degree preferred
  • A minimum of 1+ year of experience working at a financial services company or comparable experience working as an advisor to a financial services company
  • Experience working in a Hedge Fund, Wealth/Asset Management company or as a Management Consultant in one of these companies
  • 1+ years of hands-on Aladdin experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading and supporting Aladdin implementations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a team of technology advisors through all phases of the technology life cycle, including requirements definition, architecture, design, development, implementation, conversion and testing
  • Strong communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills
  • Comfortable researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies
  • Strong experience in supervising and executing all phases of the technology life cycle, based on proven project management and testing methodologies
  • Must possess a deep knowledge of technical architecture design and have a good understanding of technology tools and components to reasonably argue for and against all components (middleware, database, reporting tools, etc.) in financial systems architecture
  • Willingness and ability to travel, you must hold a passport and a valid drivers license

Pay

$102,500 to $187,900 base salary range for all geographic locations in the US. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $122,900 to $213,400.
