Responsibilities

  • Reserving, actuarial opinion and regulatory services
  • Ratemaking analytics and services
  • Actuarial process redesign and software integration
  • Predictive analytics
  • Data visualization
  • Market strategy advice
  • Reinsurance analysis and advice
  • Ad hoc financial reporting advice

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Approximately 3+ years of experience in an actuarial position.
  • Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) or actively pursuing Associateship within the Casualty Actuarial Society with a minimum of 5 actuarial exams passed.
  • 2 years of experience with Excel, SAS, VBA and /or C++.

  • Build strong relationships with client personnel and consistently deliver high-quality services.
  • Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about outcomes.
  • Stay abreast of current business, regulatory and industry trends relevant to the client's business.
  • Demonstrate in-depth technical actuarial expertise and professional knowledge.
  • Exhibit strong business acumen and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Commit to developing a strong personal brand by staying informed regarding economic/market developments and their impact on the firm's clients.
  • Progress towards professional credentials from the Casualty Actuarial Society or other industry organizations.

  • Strong writing, presentation, conceptual, analytical, and interpersonal skills as evidenced by preparing and presenting results and/or findings to clients or senior management.
  • Ability to understand and persuade on complex subjects both in writing and verbally.
  • Experience working in a team environment on project-based work.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

Pay

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $110,500 to $202,700. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $132,600 to $230,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
