Financial Services Risk Management, Structured Finance - Transactions, Manager
About the role
Join EY’s Financial Services Organization (FSO) and help build a better working world for the financial services industry. The Structured Finance group specializes in addressing the needs of market participants in the securitization marketplace across asset classes, including asset-backed securities (ABS), commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), and collateralized loan obligations (CLO). This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced transaction business, lead diverse engagement teams, collaborate with a wide variety of clients, and drive business development on strategic accounts.
Responsibilities
- Perform agreed-upon procedures (AUP) to support securitization transactions, including asset file review, collateral stratification and analysis, cash flow modeling, bond analytics, offering document review, compliance reviews, and preparation of AUP reports.
- Manage and motivate client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds, fostering an innovative and inclusive work environment.
- Counsel and mentor junior consultants.
- Oversee all aspects of client engagements, including driving high-quality work products, monitoring progress, and managing risk.
- Develop, maintain, and build long-term client relationships and networks.
- Stay current with industry and technology trends relevant to clients’ businesses and identify business development opportunities.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree and approximately 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience.
- Degree in finance, economics, accounting, engineering, or a related discipline; MBA or MS preferred.
- Excellent prioritization skills and a commitment to meeting client deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for report writing, client presentations, and client interactions.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated project management, teaming, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours to meet client deadlines; valid driver’s license and passport required.

Qualifications
Prior structured finance experience is ideal.

Pay
The base salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $94,300 to $173,000. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $113,200 to $196,500. Individual salaries are determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
