Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provides a high level of professional, courteous, and personalized service while building strong member relationships.
  • Affords assistance and guidance to members with their financial transactions; opens, maintains, and closes consumer and commercial accounts; answers questions about products and services; collaborates with business partners to discover member solutions beyond the employee’s scope.
  • Conducts meaningful member conversations to assess borrowing needs and recommends appropriate loan and ancillary products.
  • Guides members through the consumer loan application process while identifying opportunities to deepen relationships.
  • Adheres to established lending guidelines and clearly communicates loan decisions, including approval terms, denial reasons, payment options, and lending requirements.
  • Affords assistance with a variety of teller transactions while providing accurate, efficient, and professional service.
  • Maintains current knowledge of fraud trends and prevention practices to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Processes transactions within established authority limits and policies and collaborates with coworkers to support branch operations and ensure a positive member experience.
  • Maintains a high level of accuracy to minimize risk and support sound practices.
  • Demonstrates a heightened awareness of physical security and member privacy by safeguarding confidential information and adhering to established security procedures.
  • Remains vigilant in identifying potential security risks and taking appropriate action to protect members, employees, and credit union assets.
  • Promotes and actively supports branch and credit union initiatives by participating in sales, service, and operational goals.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to organizational objectives, contributes to team success, and fosters member engagement through consistent advocacy of credit union products, services, and community involvement efforts.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of customer service and/or sales experience is required.
  • Minimum 1 year of Lending experience is preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of financial services experience is preferred.

Education

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
