Financial Services - Customer Tax Operations and Reporting - Tax Senior
About the role
The opportunity is to join EY’s Business Tax Advisory practice, focusing on US Tax - Information Reporting & Withholding. You will work in a group environment on challenging information reporting and withholding engagements across all financial services sectors.
Responsibilities
- Interpret IRS Code and Regulations
- Write policy and procedure documents
- Conduct gap analyses and write business requirements
- Prepare documentation including presentations and flow charts
- Engage in technical analysis, process improvement, and respond to client requests
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant tax consulting or tax operational experience
- A license as a licensed attorney or CPA, or the ability to obtain one of these designations
Qualifications
- A J.D., LL.M. in Taxation, or MST preferred
- A demonstrated interest in tax information reporting and withholding work in Chapter 3, Chapter 4, and Chapter 61
Skills and Attributes
- Ability to read and interpret IRS Code, regulations, and instructions
- Strong writing skills for policy and procedure writing
- Ability to interface with all facets of our business
- Ability to multitask and manage projects
- Creative problem-solving and strong critical thinking skills
Pay
The base salary range for this role in all geographic locations in the US is $97,300 to $178,300. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $116,700 to $202,600. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
