As a Financial Services Consultant II, you will act as a trusted partner for our members, helping them navigate everything from new accounts to consulting on consumer lending needs to educating on more advanced products like Mortgage, Business, and IRA offerings. This role is heavily relationship-based with a strong focus on getting to know members, understanding their goals, and offering solutions that are in their best interest.
The Financial Services Consultant II may also serve as a Notary and provide peer mentorship to newer team members, giving you hands-on opportunities to expand your skillset and prepare for future leadership roles.
The ideal candidate blends strong financial industry knowledge and consulting experience with a collaborative spirit, effective problem-solving skills, and a clear passion for helping others achieve their financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted partner for members, assisting with new accounts and consulting on consumer lending needs
- Educate members on advanced products such as Mortgage, Business, and IRA offerings
- Build relationships with members to understand their goals and offer tailored financial solutions
- Serve as a Notary when needed
- Provide peer mentorship to newer team members
Requirements
- Two years of credit union or financial institution experience required
- Prior consulting, sales, and cash handling experience highly preferred
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Positive attitude and proven ability to drive sales through excellent service
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred (eligible for language pay differential)
- Strong aptitude to problem-solve independently and resolve challenges using available resources
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage time successfully
- Strong collaboration skills and adaptability when working within a cohesive team environment

Schedule
Full-time, on-site, and non-exempt. Must be available for work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 am and 6:15 pm.
Pay
$23–25/hour (DOE) + bonus and incentives. Language pay differential available for candidates proficient in Spanish.
