About The Role

This position assists members in reaching their financial goals while providing exceptional service and product knowledge to actively sell credit union products. Availability is required Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM and Saturday 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Support micro community market research to identify opportunities and recommendations.
  • Accept, process, and fund small business loans, unsecured loan products, titled loans, credit cards, and Home Equity loan products.
  • Conduct outreach to business prospects to grow branch membership through new accounts and loan requests.
  • Develop internal and external referral sources through business networking and credit union-sponsored events.
  • Partner with Business Services, Small Business, and Commercial teams to meet business members' personal banking needs.
  • Support Branch Leadership strategies for overall branch growth, learning, and development.
  • Provide referrals to Insurance/Investment and Home Loan Departments for members.
  • Perform additional tasks and duties assigned by Branch Leadership.
  • Support branch growth goals with consistent outreach to new and existing consumer and business members via calling, email, direct mail, networking, and in-person meetings.
  • Maintain a book of business to ensure members' needs are met.
  • Train and sponsor new employees (FSR II/III).
  • Engage in cross-functional projects and branch promotions.
  • Serve in the Greeter station to welcome members, assess needs, and recommend financial wellness solutions.
  • Exercise independent judgment within set authorizations.
  • Support Branch leadership with annual compliance audits to ensure adherence to internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products and services; recommend solutions to improve members' financial well-being.
  • Mentor employees for individual development as directed.
  • Adhere to Columbia Credit Union Branch Service Standards for an exceptional member experience.
  • Act as the Digital Expert, educating and assisting members and employees with digital products and services.
  • Accurately process member transactions and requests using varied software programs while adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Open, modify, and close personal, business, and fiduciary accounts while providing an educational and friendly experience.
  • Lead cross-functional branch projects, promotions, and training (FSR II/III).
  • Lead Branch Operations and serve as designated PIC as necessary (FSR III).

Requirements

  • FSR I: Minimum one (1) year of financial industry experience or equivalent qualifications. Basic understanding of credit.
  • FSR II: Minimum two (2) years of financial industry experience or equivalent qualifications. Proficient with complex new accounts, including small business and fiduciary accounts. Thorough understanding of unsecured loan products, titled loans, credit cards, and Home Equity loan products.
  • FSR III: Minimum three (3) years of financial industry experience. Proficient in all new accounts, including fiduciary and small business. Thorough knowledge of all loan products, including small business loans. Basic understanding of cash management business services (e.g., Business Online Banking, ACH, Wires, Account Analysis, Remote Deposit Capture).
  • Demonstrated professionalism in written and verbal communication.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed assigned goals.
  • Ability to attain Notary designation within 6 months of hire.
  • Required current NMLS license or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Basic understanding of Business Service products and services.
  • Reliable to work scheduled shifts, including split weeks, and attend branch meetings as scheduled.
  • Knowledge of, and compliance with, Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR) requirements and Columbia’s Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance program.

Pay

  • FSR I: $22.00 - $24.00/hour
  • FSR II: $24.00 - $26.00/hour
  • FSR III: $26.00 - $30.00/hour

Eligible to earn performance incentives.

Schedule

Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM and Saturday 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, including a split week schedule as needed. Must be available to attend branch meetings when scheduled.
