Responsibilities
- Creates, opens, and processes new consumer & business member accounts and cross-sells services to members.
- Explains products' and/or services' value, benefits, features, rates, and fees to members.
- Conducts high-quality interviews with members and potential members to meet their needs using the AIDINC® system.
- Uses Opening Act (OA) system to create memberships, new accounts, and deposit services in Symitar.
- Builds and submits loan applications to Central Lending Decision Makers for a decision, and disburse loans under guidance.
- Represents the credit union professionally, providing prompt, efficient, and accurate service in processing transactions.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of credit union membership requirements, deposit products, services, loan products, and marketing campaigns.
- Opens and processes required documentation for various deposit accounts, including IRAs and CDs.
- Orders and statuses ATM and Debit cards through Card Creation Wizard or Card@Once.
- Handles ATM and Debit card disputes and fraud disputes.
- Maintains control of cash by double-counting all cash received and disbursed, or being diligent in dual control procedures.
- Verifies checks for deposit and ensures they are properly endorsed and deposited in accordance with credit union policy.
- Utilizes True Checks within guidelines.
- Provides account information to member account owners for consumer & business accounts.
- Works to resolve members’ concerns, complaints, discrepancies, and problems through available resources, KFCU computer systems, and product knowledge.
- Refers problems through the chain-of-command for resolution and tracks member concerns using Synapsys CRM.
- Completes quality consumer & business loan applications over the phone or in person, communicating loan decisions and advising borrowers on proactive steps.
- Ensures loan approvals are processed correctly and ensures the member and KFCU are fully protected.
- Provides insightful guidance and assistance to members through the AIDINC process, utilizing TMA behavioral styles.
- Strives to exceed goals set by the credit union regarding member service and sales of all products and services offered.
- Maintains proficiency in Symitar, COWWW, Synergy, Synapsys CRM, Outlook, Microsoft Office, Opening Act, and other necessary computer systems.
- Complies with all Federal regulations including BSA, OFAC, Red Flag Program, and REG CC.
- Identifies potential member service needs through The Member Advantage AIDINC® system and sells credit union products and services.
- Effectively uses TMA skills to open new products and services for membership and makes outbound phone calls to contact members.
- Maintains branch office equipment and supplies, assists in balancing the ATM and Night Depository, and performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school education or GED, with community college coursework preferred.
- One to three years of similar or related experience.
- Completion of Lending Class, New Accounts training, and Teller training through the KFCU Training Department.
- Ability to operate computer terminal, computer printers, calculator, fax machine, copier, telephone, fax machine, currency counter, and copier with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Outgoing personality, helpful member service attitude, and strong sales skills.
- Strong basic math skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Knowledgeable of teller transactions relevant to the position.

- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
