About the role

CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Senior Consultant 2 within our Intel sector, advancing mission critical financial data operations through sophisticated modeling, analytics, and automation. As a Financial Senior Consultant 2, you will design, build, and maintain financial and operational data models that support strategic planning, forecasting, resource analysis, and decision making. This senior level role integrates financial acumen with technical data skills and is ideal for professionals who excel at complex modeling, requirements interpretation, and transforming raw data into actionable insights. This position is located in Springfield, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Support enterprise financial business practices by applying compliant accounting, tracking, and data processing principles while constructing complex analytical and financial models.
  • Design and implement end to end data models, pipelines, and analytical workflows to support decision making and operational visibility across financial systems.
  • Identify financial and operational issues by performing detailed data analysis, developing predictive or scenario based models, and generating performance metrics.
  • Develop and maintain algorithms and modeling logic to support trend analysis, forecasting, resource allocation, and process optimization.
  • Collaborate with functional specialists, technical teams, and solution architects to integrate models with dashboards, reporting systems, and automation tools.
  • Prepare timely data driven findings, presentations, and reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior analysts, support project leadership, and contribute to cross functional initiatives that enhance enterprise data maturity.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field with 3–5 years of financial consulting, analysis, or modeling experience.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph required.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, data visualization, and analytical toolsets (e.g., Excel, modeling frameworks).
  • Demonstrated experience building complex financial or analytical models and translating insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present modeling conclusions to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams and integrate financial logic into broader system workflows.

Desired qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or CFP.
  • Expertise in financial risk modeling, scenario analysis, and advanced forecasting tools.
  • Experience with automation, ETL development, or data centric applications.
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior analysts.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $62,900.00 – $153,300.00.
