About the role
The Guidehouse Team supports the government's working capital fund, which includes a wide array of financial management responsibilities, such as strategic planning, accounting and financial analysis, reporting and compliance, policy formulation and adherence, and training and process improvement. Through this diverse portfolio of tasks, the Guidehouse teams provide critical insights, advice, and recommendations to the program’s leadership teams as well as other internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Preparing, analyzing, and briefing financial reporting and pricing analyses and other measurements of performance
- Managing accounting lines and expenditures, including monthly/quarterly financial statements and accruals, and coordinating SLA creation and ongoing monitoring
- Creating and maintaining cost-based and market-based pricing models for Business Enterprise services, ensuring models reflect actual costs, forecasted demand and costs, and strategic opportunities (synergies or efficiencies)
- Manipulating financial reporting submissions and pricing models in Excel to align with Business Enterprise budgets and long-term financial plans
- Identifying inefficiencies in pricing and billing processes, and recommending improvements
Requirements
- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with a FULL SCOPE (FS/FSP) polygraph
- A Bachelors degree
- SIX (6) or more years of experience within business/financial analysis functions
Qualifications
- Excel modeling experience
- Experience in developing and presenting costing models for products/services
- Experience forecasting demand and understanding breakeven analysis
- Comfort working in isolation to analyze Business Enterprise performance
- A background with Activity Based Costing (ABC)
- A foundation and understanding of the similarities and differences between ABC, Zero Based Reviews, and Break even analysis
- Knowledge of both budget planning and budget execution
- Self-motivated with innate organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple work streams against tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build relations with and communicate across all levels of staff and leadership, along with a variety of internal and external stakeholders groups
