Position Summary

We are looking for a Financial Reporting Analyst to join our corporate team in Muscatine, IA. The Financial Reporting Analyst serves as a key member of the Corporate Accounting organization, responsible for transforming complex financial information into clear, compelling, and executive-ready reporting for senior leadership, the Board of Directors, and shareholders.

  • An analytical professional who enjoys understanding how businesses perform and translating financial information into meaningful insights for executive audiences.
  • A solid foundation in finance and accounting but equally passionate about communication, visualization, and presentation design.
  • Experience reviewing publicly available corporate financial documents including annual reports (Form 10-K), quarterly reports (Form 10-Q), earnings releases, investor presentations, proxy statements, and SEC filings.
  • Experience within financial services organizations, investment firms, valuation groups, consulting firms, or investor relations functions.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Executive Financial Reporting:
    • Develop executive-level presentations communicating consolidated financial performance to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
    • Transform financial results into polished PowerPoint presentations, PDF reports, dashboards, briefing documents, and executive summaries.
    • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reporting packages supporting executive decision-making.
    • Organize complex financial information into logical, concise, and visually compelling presentations.
    • Ensure reporting accurately communicates key financial results, trends, risks, and business drivers.
  • Financial Analysis & Data Synthesis:
    • Analyze consolidated financial information prepared by Corporate Accounting and Finance teams to identify meaningful trends and performance drivers.
    • Gather, organize, and validate financial information from multiple business units and corporate functions.
    • Develop analyses supporting executive presentations related to: Quarterly and annual financial performance, Business unit performance, Strategic initiatives, Capital investments, Operational performance, Special projects, Summarize large volumes of financial information into concise executive insights.
    • Support preparation of financial narratives explaining significant business events and operating results.
  • Shareholder & Public Company Reporting:
    • Support preparation of financial materials used in shareholder meetings, investor communications, and other public-facing financial presentations.
    • Develop charts, graphs, tables, and visualizations that communicate financial performance clearly and accurately.
    • Partner with Investor Relations and Corporate Communications to ensure financial messaging is consistent across external communications.
    • Assist in preparing presentation materials supporting earnings releases, annual meetings, and other executive communications.
    • Support the presentation and organization of information included in SEC-related reporting and publicly released financial materials.
  • Financial Storytelling & Visualization:
    • Translate complex financial analyses into clear, audience-appropriate narratives.
    • Design executive-quality visuals that improve understanding of financial performance.
    • Develop standardized presentation templates and reporting formats that improve consistency across executive reporting.
    • Balance analytical accuracy with effective visual communication and storytelling.
    • Continuously improve presentation quality, readability, and overall executive experience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with Corporate Accounting to understand consolidated financial results and accounting impacts.
    • Work closely with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Internal Audit, and business unit finance teams to gather supporting information.
    • Cook with operating companies to obtain financial information supporting executive reporting.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to understand reporting objectives and presentation needs.
    • Build strong working relationships across finance, accounting, communications, and executive leadership.
  • Special Projects:
    • Support executive-level strategic initiatives requiring financial analysis and presentation development.
    • Prepare financial reporting supporting acquisitions, business integrations, capital projects, restructuring initiatives, and enterprise transformation efforts.
    • Aid leadership with customized reporting requests for special meetings and strategic reviews.
    • Participate in enterprise reporting improvement initiatives and cross-functional finance projects.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Financial Analysis, or a related discipline required.
  • 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, financial reporting, valuation, investment analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, investor relations, equity research, management consulting, or similar analytical roles.
  • Experience working with large financial datasets and multiple information sources.
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience preparing executive presentations and communicating financial information to senior leadership.
  • Experience supporting publicly traded companies or corporate reporting environments.
