Financial Reporting Analyst

AfterQuery is seeking Financial Reporting professionals to create and evaluate reporting reasoning challenges for our AI training modules. In this remote, flexible role, you will design realistic reporting scenarios — disclosure judgments, close-process questions, statement analysis — that test an AI model's ability to reason through financial reporting with technical accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Develop reporting scenarios, disclosure exercises, and statement-analysis cases that challenge AI models
• Evaluate and validate model responses for accuracy under GAAP/IFRS
• Collaborate with accounting and technical experts to calibrate difficulty and coverage

Required Qualifications

• Experience in financial reporting or technical accounting
• Strong command of GAAP/IFRS and financial statement preparation
• Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or comparable credential
• SEC reporting or audit-facing experience
• Familiarity with reporting systems and close software is a plus
