Compensation: $115,000 – $145,000/year + bonus. Location: Boone County, MO. Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office).

About the role

This newly created role supports statutory accounting, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and accounting operations within a growing financial services environment. The Financial Reporting & Accounting Manager will partner closely with accounting, treasury, finance, and external service providers to oversee reporting activities, accounting operations, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee statutory accounting activities, regulatory filings, financial reporting, and compliance-related reporting requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions including ledger activity, reconciliations, claims accounting, revenue recognition, and financial analysis.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support operational consistency and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with finance, treasury, external service providers, and internal leadership to support investment accounting, reporting accuracy, and operational initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff while supporting workflow management, project execution, and departmental priorities.
  • Assist with reporting enhancements, operational efficiencies, trend analysis, and strategic accounting initiatives across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, including 3+ years of statutory accounting experience and prior leadership experience.
  • Experience within insurance, financial services, regulatory reporting, or statutory accounting environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and strong knowledge of statutory accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and regulatory filings.

Pay
