Financial Reporting Accountant I

Primary Duties

• Prepare and post routine journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Absorb and assist with monthly close activities by compiling data and supporting account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Review transactions for accuracy and resolve discrepancies with guidance from senior staff.
• Absorb and assist with internal and external audit requests by gathering documentation and data.
• Support basic financial reporting and analysis as assigned.
• Collaborate with accounting team members to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.

Job Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; or related experience, including internships or cooperative education, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• Preferred Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Progress toward professional accounting certification.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting concepts.
• Ability to analyze detailed information with accuracy and consistency.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow established procedures and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
