Job Description
The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) Financial Services is seeking an experienced Finance Professional to join the General Accounting team. The position focuses on M&S transactional activities and requires understanding and proficient use of the Oracle Fusion Cloud system. The selected candidate will interface with Financial Services team members and other NNL departments, analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity, support monthly and year end closing activities, support audit requests and prepare periodic reports to management and Government.
- Support periodic testing of upgrades and new features of the Oracle system.
- Execute monthly and fiscal year-end closing activities.
- Prepare periodic reports and analyses to NNL and Government management.
- Review and test financial controls and provide verification in support of government requirements.
- Maintain process documentation to facilitate effective accounting operations.
- Consult with company personnel on financial guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Effectively interface with other NNL departments to coordinate data and deliverable requirements.
- Effectively interface with company and Government auditors to facilitate the performance and resolution of audits.
Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience;
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Skills
- Degree in Accounting.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud.
- Current/previous accounting experience.

Flexibility in scheduling is available to accommodate the needs of the position and the employee.
Pay
Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The pay range is $78,700.00 - $120,500.00 annually.
