FINANCIAL PLANNING & REPORTING MANAGER

Job Summary

The Financial Planning and Reporting Manager will support the Controller in providing timely and accurate financial analysis/reporting, manage project capital (AFE) reporting, perform ad-hoc analysis, and complete special projects. They will also focus on process improvement and efficiency, analyze financial statements, coordinate reports, develop staff, and assume other duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project capital (AFE) reporting and management
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and complete special projects
• Focus on process improvement and efficiency
• Analyze financial statements and investigate deviations and trends
• Prepare and present the monthly financial performance of the business unit
• Develop and maintain relationships with key personnel
• Cook up and review reports listing open AFEs and the AFE closing process
• Drive continuous improvement in the group and implement efficient and effective procedures
• Correctly document all processes

Requirements

• Extended periods of work may be required during financial reporting close
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and meet goals and deadlines
• Computer skills required (working with several software applications)
• Strong analytical skills and accounting technical knowledge
• Good written and verbal communication skills required
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proven ethics, professionalism and discretion
• Must be detail oriented
• Leadership skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance
