The Financial Planning Analyst plays a critical role in supporting investment advisors by preparing comprehensive financial plans, conducting research, managing financial software integrations, and ensuring seamless client communication. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial planning software, and the ability to provide exceptional administrative and planning support throughout the financial planning process.
Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive financial plans aligned with client goals using eMoney software.
- Monitor client progress through the financial planning process, ensuring timely preparation for each phase.
- Conduct in-depth research on financial products and funds to model financial scenarios using Nitrogen software.
- Update financial plans to reflect changes in client circumstances and objectives.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, including weekly updates on financial plan status and collecting required information.
- Collaborate with Service Advisors to prepare and update Retirement Blueprint eMoney reports for annual client reviews.
- Develop professional Executive Summaries using Adobe for client presentations.
- Provide ad-hoc materials to support investment advisors during the sales process.
- Work with New Business teams to prepare for account openings and transfers.
- Proactively monitor advisors' calendars to ensure they have all necessary materials for upcoming meetings.
- Collaborate with investment advisors to enhance sales and service processes.
- Demonstrate expert proficiency in eMoney software for seamless plan preparation and management.
- Manage eMoney integrations to maintain accurate and up-to-date client portals.
- Understand and execute the LFG process from start to finish for all clients.
- Prepare and update Retirement Blueprints for clients, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Coordinate with Service Advisors to review and refine financial plans.
Requirements
- 3+ years financial services experience and familiarity with financial products
- Strong experience with MS Office and Adobe
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills both in person and via phone
- Proactive mentality, positive attitude, and consistent follow through
- Highly intelligent, strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with good time management and critical thinking skills
Preferred qualifications
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation
- Experience with Salesforce CRM
- Advanced proficiency with financial planning software (eMoney, Nitrogen, etc.)
- 2+ years working in a fast-paced financial office/RIA environment
Schedule
40 hours per week, 8am-5pm with some flexibility for remote work.
Compensation & benefits
- Starting salary range: $65,000-$75,000 with a 10% bonus potential based on company and individual performance
