Financial Planning Analyst

Job Expectations/Duties

• Work with the Director of FP&A in developing and refining processes to improve financial analysis and reporting across Colonial’s subsidiary companies.
• Partner with the leaders and operations teams to better understand the business.
• Partner with accounting to collect and analyze financial data turning it into actionable insights.
• Identify and/or develop key indicators impacting performance and results.
• Build and maintain models in Excel to support financial modeling, reporting, and analysis.
• Closely analyze monthly sales and track margin performance.
• Support the continued development of the annual fiscal year budget and forecasting process.
• Review and analyze trends (revenues, costs, inventories, etc.).
• Identify areas to automate reporting and eliminate duplication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required (finance, accounting, business, math, etc.).
• A working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, XLookup, etc).
• The candidate should be comfortable learning new software platforms; prior exposure to JD Edwards and Power BI is helpful but not required.
• Versatile verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills are required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

• Sit, stand, walk.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Potentially travel up to 10%.
