Job Expectations/Duties
- Work with the Director of FP&A in developing and refining processes to improve financial analysis and reporting across Colonial’s subsidiary companies.
- Partner with the leaders and operations teams to better understand the business.
- Partner with accounting to collect and analyze financial data turning it into actionable insights.
- Identify and/or develop key indicators impacting performance and results.
- Build and maintain models in Excel to support financial modeling, reporting, and analysis.
- Closely analyze monthly sales and track margin performance.
- Support the continued development of the annual fiscal year budget and forecasting process.
- Review and analyze trends (revenues, costs, inventories, etc.).
- Identify areas to automate reporting and eliminate duplication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required (finance, accounting, business, math, etc.).
- A working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, XLookup, etc).
- The candidate should be comfortable learning new software platforms; prior exposure to JD Edwards and Power BI is helpful but not required.
- Versatile verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements
- Sit, stand, walk.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Potentially travel up to 10%.
