Our founders are leaders and innovators from the private wealth industry with expertise in traditional wealth management, fintech, and technology production. Backed by top-tier venture capital firms and fintech investors, Farther offers a collaborative environment for entrepreneurs passionate about helping clients and teammates achieve more.

About the role

Farther's Finance team sits at the intersection of strategy and execution—turning data into decisions that shape how we grow. As our FP&A Manager, you'll own the financial planning engine: budgets, forecasts, models, and the stories that tie them together. You'll be a go-to partner for senior leadership, translating complex financials into clear, actionable insight and helping us make smarter bets as we scale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly reforecasts, coordinating inputs across every function in the business
  • Build and own monthly management reporting packages—variance analysis, clear narratives, drivers vs. plan
  • Develop dynamic financial models for long-range planning, scenario analysis, and business case evaluations
  • Partner directly with business leaders to provide financial guidance, challenge assumptions, and support data-driven decisions
  • Track KPIs and operating metrics, surfacing risks and opportunities to leadership before they become problems
  • Own and continuously improve our financial planning infrastructure—tools, templates, and processes
  • Support board and investor reporting, including prep materials and ad hoc analysis
  • Collaborate with Accounting on the close process so actuals flow cleanly into reporting and forecast models

Requirements

  • 5+ years in FP&A or a related finance role (investment banking, consulting, or corporate finance all count)
  • Ability to build a three-statement model and a complex operating model from scratch—no templates needed
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial planning tools like Adaptive, Anaplan, Pigment, or similar
  • Strong ability to turn a mountain of data into an exec-ready output without losing the story
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment where priorities shift and you adapt quickly
  • Strong communicator—you can walk a non-finance audience through a complicated financial picture and make it land

Nice to have

  • Background at a high-growth startup or financial services company
  • Hands-on experience with Datarails for financial planning and reporting
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or a comparable ERP
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA (appreciated but not required)

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package that rewards impact
  • Full health benefits
  • 401(k) matching & Roth IRA options
  • Unlimited PTO
