About the role
This position is designated as hybrid (3 days per week in-office) and may be based in one of the following STV locations: New York, NY, Frisco, TX, or Dallas, TX.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, offering strategic insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance.
- Conduct monthly variance analyses to highlight any discrepancies from the budget and forecast, and suggest improvements for future periods.
- Analyze financial data to uncover trends, assess risks, and explore growth opportunities.
- Create and maintain financial reports to support decision-making across the organization.
- Ensure future work is accurately reflected in project-level forecasts.
- Compile reporting data for business insurance renewals and AAC industry trade publications.
- Enhance financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to boost efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
- One to two years of experience in Big 4 audit, tax, or transaction advisory.
- Experience in the AEC industry is a plus.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, financial planning software, ERP systems).
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities – ensuring clarity and audibility of work products and thought processes.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
