Job Purpose

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst supports the Director of Budgeting and Financial Operations with budgeting, analysis, forecasting, reconciliation, reporting, and special projects. This role ensures compliance and provides timely financial data to senior leadership for decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Director, Finance with the annual budget process for Fair Haven Community Health Clinic, Inc. (FHCHC).
  • Engage colleagues and leads across various departments to gather input and develop department- and site-specific budgets.
  • Create and maintain monthly budget-to-actual analyses and forecasts.
  • Develop tracking and forecasting reports for department budget owners to ensure budget adherence.
  • Maintain and reconcile financial activity using multiple systems (e.g., Abila MIP, EHB, PMS).
  • Prepare support for monthly Finance Committee and Board of Directors meetings.
  • Create and maintain department-wide calendars for Finance, including key deliverable dates.
  • Track and assist in preparing quarterly financial and compliance reporting requirements for New Market Tax Credit (NMTC) transactions to external CDEs and banks.
  • Partner with various grant leads and senior leadership to create grant budgets according to organization strategy and needs.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Accounting and Grants on progress and financial analysis, including grant billing, drawdown, and expense reports.
  • Perform other financial-related tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field with a minimum of three years’ experience in financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Prior experience with budgeting, revenue and expense tracking, compliance, and reconciliation.
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel, including modeling, pivot tables, and vlookups.
  • At least two years of experience in a financial support role.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leaders and non-profit organizations.
