Responsibilities
- Prepares, develops, and analyzes financial and management reports, explaining key variances and performance drivers, and delivering insights to support business decisions.
- Led reporting efforts and provides recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Supports and progressively leads components of forecasting and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial strategies.
- Facilitates planning processes and helps define assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
- Interprets financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and performance risks, and communicates findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Conducts in-depth analysis and develops financial models to assess risks, opportunities, and business scenarios.
- Maintains and enhances financial data integrity, reporting tools, and analytical methodologies.
- Identifies opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of financial processes.
- Collaborates with business unit managers to provide financial insights, respond to ad hoc requests, and support decision-making.
- Serves as a trusted advisor and influences business outcomes through analysis and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution in finance, accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Level II: 1 – 2 years of work experience in accounting, finance or related field. Financial reporting experience preferred. Banking or financial services industry preferred.
- Level III: 2 – 3 years of work experience in accounting, finance or related field. Financial reporting experience preferred. Banking or financial services industry preferred.
- Senior Analyst: 3 – 4 years of accounting or finance work experience, including 1-2 years financial reporting experience. Banking or financial services industry preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency and expertise with personal computers and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point).
- Knowledge of or ability to use bank systems and software preferred.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and organized.
- Able to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
- Able to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends and evenings as needed or assigned.
