Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst III - Finance
Overview
The Financial Planning & Analysis area is seeking a highly skilled and highly motivated FP&A Analyst III to support our firm and segment financial planning and analysis team.
What You'll Do
- Develop an internal network of relationships across Finance and supported business areas to act as a trusted partner for stakeholders to rely on.
- Advanced analysis skills, forecasting/outlooking, and complex modeling.
- Ability to understand and identify opportunities to apply different types of statistics and advanced analytical concepts.
- Support financial planning and forecasting for the firm's cash, lending, and advisory revenue streams, translating business drivers and performance trends into actionable financial insights.
- Support core business segment planning, reporting, and analysis by developing insights that help business leaders understand performance, identify trends, and evaluate opportunities.
- Develop high impact analysis that facilitates the transformation of complex data/information into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Inform and educate business areas as to the financial impact of decisions, as well as recommending an optimal or preferred solution to influence strategic direction.
- Develop segment and Firm-level measurements to create awareness of and accountability for results.
- Prepare customized management-level reports and dashboards in support of the Firm's initiatives or programs.
- Summarize complex information and concepts and clearly communicate up to Senior Management.
- Educate firm leaders on analytical concepts and best practices.
- Develop and manage business relationships with Finance associates, project team members and senior leaders across the organization.
- Participate in and lead cross-functional teams responsible for implementing projects in support of divisional and firm-wide business objectives.
What Experience You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Advanced Degree (MBA / MSF) / Comparable Certifications (CFA, CPA, etc.) required
- 5+ years of relevant work experience, including prior experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis function
- Demonstrated ability to develop financial/economic models using a driver-based methodology
- Proven ability to work with stakeholders, including senior leadership, providing analytical guidance to directly influence business decisions
- Excellent ability to analyze problems and recommend solutions for a broad spectrum of business improvement opportunities in a clear and concise manner
- Capability to connect the dots to ensure processes are integrated
- Experience operating in ambiguous situations, creating processes enhancements that address short term needs while moving us closer to a longer-term vision
- Identify trends and present recommendations to Senior Leadership in order to influence decision making
- Sound ability to collaborate well with associates and leadership throughout the firm, including external vendors
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required, including demonstrated ability to utilize pivot tables, advanced charting, advanced formulas, and conditional formatting
Location
Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.
