Responsibilities
- Reviewing individual and business tax returns
- Implementing financial plans, including retirement, estate, cash flow, and investment planning
- Collaborating with investment manager on tax-efficient investment strategies
- Advising clients on complex financial scenarios
- Maintaining detailed documentation to meet regulatory and firm standards
- Proactively communicating with clients and internal team members to address planning needs
- Providing ongoing recommendations to enhance the client experience
- Managing the financial planning team to ensure firm goals and standards are met
Qualifications
- Expertise in tax return reviews, focusing on tax planning and optimization
- Certified Public Accounting (CPA) credential and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation
- Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation is also acceptable
- Experience in financial planning for high-net-worth clients or families with complex financial situations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain complex financial concepts clearly and respectfully
- Comfort working remotely, with reliable technology, self-motivation, and effective collaboration in a virtual team environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or specialized coursework in taxation or financial planning is beneficial
