Temporary, long-term open-ended remote role supporting Ernst & Young clientele in retirement-plan decisions.
About the role
Guide clients through the decision-making process between defined-benefit pension plans and defined-contribution retirement plans. Review quantitative factors, prepare individualized financial projections, and explain potential growth and long-term implications. Discuss qualitative considerations such as comfort with guaranteed payments versus managing invested assets to ensure informed decisions aligned with financial goals and personal preferences.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive financial planning services via phone, covering budgeting, retirement, college funding, tax planning, and insurance planning.
- Initially focus on pension-choice consultations; expand to broader financial planning as experience grows.
- Handle inbound calls from clients needing assistance understanding their benefit options.
- Spend 75–80% of the day on productive tasks: speaking with clients or ready to take inbound calls.
- Manage 25–30 inbound calls per day (volume may vary by season).
- Average call duration starts at 10–12 minutes; increases as planning becomes more comprehensive.
Requirements
- Series 65 license, CFP certification, or a combination of Series 7 and 66 licenses (EY does not hold Series 7 or 66).
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred but not required.
- Bilingual candidates (Spanish, Korean) highly preferred.
- Available for a minimum 6-week training from start date.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to clearly articulate and educate clients over the phone.
- High-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace.
- Technical proficiency to efficiently navigate required systems.
Pay
$32.00 per hour.
Schedule
9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST.
