About the role
An established wealth management and financial planning firm is seeking a Wealth Planner to support high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, and entrepreneurs. This role will work closely with advisors and clients to deliver comprehensive financial planning solutions, coordinate with outside professionals, and provide exceptional client service.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted client advocate and assist with addressing client questions and needs
- Deliver a high level of client service and support throughout the planning process
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and their families
- Ensure client requests are handled accurately and efficiently
- Assist advisors with financial plan preparation and meeting preparation
- Participate in client meetings and maintain detailed documentation of discussions and action items
- Review financial statements, estate planning documents, and insurance policies
- Prepare insurance analyses, planning recommendations, and client presentations
- Develop and maintain net worth statements and financial planning reports
- Utilize planning software to model various financial scenarios and outcomes
- Collaborate with CPAs, attorneys, estate planners, and other professional advisors
- Maintain client data within CRM and financial planning software systems
- Support special projects and firm initiatives as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, processes, and client experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation or active CFP candidate status or eligibility
- Understanding of comprehensive financial planning, including investment, retirement, tax, estate, and risk management concepts
- Strong client service orientation and professional communication skills
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience working with financial planning, CRM, or wealth management software platforms
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth clients
- Experience within a wealth management, family office, financial planning, or registered investment advisory environment
- Exposure to estate planning, tax planning, insurance analysis, and advanced planning strategies
- Familiarity with financial planning software, CRM systems, and portfolio reporting tools
- Demonstrated passion for financial planning and long-term client relationship development
