Accountabilities

  • Own the full accounts payable process across the organization and portfolio companies, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and vendor payments are made on time.
  • Manage customer invoicing and support collections activities, following up on outstanding items and ensuring financial workflows remain on track.
  • Prepare wire transfers and organize supporting information clearly for leadership review and approval.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors with payment-related questions, providing timely and effective responses.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records across accounting and operational systems, ensuring reliable sources of truth.
  • Manage payroll cycles and coordinate related financial and administrative activities.
  • Support equity issuance and related equity or cap-table administration.
  • Monitor financial workflows to identify bottlenecks, errors, and opportunities for greater efficiency.
  • Take ownership of process improvements by developing and implementing practical solutions rather than simply identifying problems.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership and stakeholders across multiple businesses to ensure financial operations are accurate, timely, and scalable.
  • Contribute to building and strengthening financial infrastructure as the organization and its portfolio continue to grow.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets, with the ability to organize, analyze, and maintain financial information accurately.
  • Comfortable working with accounting systems, ERP platforms, and financial operations tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, responsiveness, and follow-through.
  • Ability to learn quickly, execute efficiently, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Entrepreneurial and resourceful mindset, with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, zero-to-one environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break complex issues into clear, actionable steps.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to proactively address issues and recommend solutions.
  • High ownership and low-ego approach, combining attention to operational detail with an understanding of broader business objectives.
  • Able to manage multiple financial workflows and priorities without losing accuracy or responsiveness.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance operations, accounts payable/accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or a related field is preferred; a relevant degree may also be considered.
  • Startup or early-stage company experience is a plus.
  • Experience with HR operations or payroll processing is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks, Campfire, Ramp, or comparable financial and operational platforms is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with full-cycle AP, invoicing and collections, wire transfers, payroll, equity administration, or multi-entity finance operations is highly valued.
