As the Financial Lines portfolio continues to grow, the Financial Lines Claims Counsel will play a meaningful role in the development of the Financial Lines Claims organization. This position manages high-exposure and complex Financial Lines claims and brings deep expertise in Financial Lines coverage and claims handling. The role focuses primarily on Directors & Officers (D&O), Financial Institutions Professional Liability (E&O), Employment Practices Liability (EPL), Fiduciary, and Fidelity claims, including complex litigation, class actions, securities matters, and high-severity financial loss exposures. The position offers significant autonomy, visibility, and the ability to influence claim outcomes and the continued expansion of the business.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of complex Financial Lines claims from initial notice through resolution.
- Analyze coverage, liability, damages, and exposure issues, establish appropriate reserves, and provide accurate claim assessments involving D&O, Financial Institutions E&O, EPL, Fiduciary, and Fidelity policies.
- Draft coverage position letters, reservation of rights letters, and other claim-related communications.
