About the Role
Examiners at the KC Fed use an inquisitive and analytical mindset to review financial information, assess compliance, evaluate risks, and identify root causes of issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for leading meetings with banking executives, producing clear reports, and collaborating with team members. Examiners also provide guidance to banking leaders and coach peers to support professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Independently review financial information and assess legal/regulatory compliance.
- Evaluate risks within banking organizations and investigate potential issues.
- Lead meetings with executive leaders at financial institutions.
- Produce clear, concise written documents and reports.
- Collaborate with team members and build consensus across diverse audiences.
- Provide guidance to banking executives and coach team members.
- Share knowledge and offer peer-level feedback to support employee development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, finance, accounting, economics, management information systems) or equivalent work experience.
- 0+ years of banking industry experience in audit, credit analysis, regulatory compliance, information security, cybersecurity, or asset/liability management (preferred: 2+ years).
- Willingness and ability to travel 20–30% of the time.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web-based applications, and email.
- Ability to work onsite in the Oklahoma City office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate or advanced degree in business, management, accounting, finance, economics, or management information systems.
- Leadership experience demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a dynamic environment.
Pay
- Assistant Examiner: $59,300–$76,800
- Senior Assistant Examiner: $74,800–$96,800
- Examiner: $96,900–$125,400
Final offers consider qualifications, internal alignment, district assignment, and geographic location.
Schedule
Full-time, onsite in Omaha, NE, with 5 days per month of remote work flexibility.
