About the Opportunity
The Financial Educator Remote role supports patients by providing financial education and assistance related to their fertility care. This position plays a critical role in helping patients understand their insurance benefits and financial options, ensuring they receive the necessary support throughout their treatment journey.
Responsibilities
- Consult with patients on benefits, coverage, and financial options
- Perform benefit verification and prior authorization tasks
- Provide ongoing financial education and advocacy for patients
- Maintain and update patient financial and insurance information
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of medical business office experience with knowledge of healthcare billing, collections, insurance/benefits, and patient interaction
- Ability to interpret payer remittance advice, including allowed charges, contractual adjustments, denials, and patient responsibility details
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience in an OB/GYN office is a plus
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, independent worker, computer proficient, especially with Outlook, Word, and Excel
- High level of customer service
Pay
Compensation: $23.00 to $27.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
