The Financial Education Professional supports HSFCU members, employees and the broader community to make a positive impact by promoting financial literacy for all. About the role

This position is located at the HSFCU Headquarters in Downtown Honolulu. Base Annual Salary Range: $70,600 - $90,825 per year. The posted range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position, with final compensation determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.

Essential Duties

  • Designs, researches, develops, and implements financial education and community programs that support the Credit Union’s strategic goals.
  • Conducts ongoing research and analysis of community needs, educational gaps, and financial literacy trends.
  • Establishes and maintains effective partnerships with internal stakeholders and community organizations.
  • Collaborates with partners to implement financial literacy programs, tools, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Develops financial education content, including curriculum, training materials, evaluations, and communications.
  • Oversees the Credit Union’s scholarship and educational grant programs.

Minimum Qualifications And Experience

  • 5+ years of related experience in a Marketing, Communications, Training & Development or a related field.
  • Ability to maintain and strengthen HSFCU partnerships and build new relationships.
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, including social and emotional intelligence.
  • Creative and agile, curating experiences to connect with the audience.
  • Experience using and creating slide decks in Canva, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Proactive and takes initiative to create and execute responsibilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications And Experience

  • Examples of previous outreach materials on social media or written outreach communications.
  • Has existing Hawaii/local community partnerships and relationships.
  • Thorough understanding of financial service products and related applications.
