About the role
The Financial Due Diligence Intern is a key member of the Transaction Advisory team, responsible for supporting financial due diligence engagements from start to finish. This role involves working closely with clients, management teams, and other stakeholders to gather, analyze, and present financial information in a manner that supports strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Perform data collection and analysis using Excel and other tools
- Work with offshore support teams to build and refine financial models
- Conduct interviews and gather information from target companies and management teams
- Prepare and present findings to clients and partners
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless project delivery
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A strong academic background in Accounting or Finance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Excel and other relevant software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Pay
The pay rate for this position in the Chicago, Illinois office is $37 per hour.
Schedule
This position requires in-person attendance at least three days per week, either at a Grant Thornton office or client site.
