Financial Data Analyst Intern (Year-round)
The New York office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, an elite international law firm of approximately 1,300 lawyers located in 16 offices across six countries, is seeking a Financial Data Analyst Intern to support the Finance & Accounting Team.
About the role
This yearlong internship offers valuable hands-on experience in a law firm environment. The Intern will support the finance team in analyzing, interpreting, and reporting financial data to aid business decisions and strategic planning. Responsibilities
- Assist with compiling financial information to prepare journal entries
- Assist with Foreign operations accounting
- Prepare and analyze account reconciliations
- Assist with Fixed Asset accounting
- Gain exposure to ad-hoc reporting tools (Excel, Access, Crystal Reports)
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Student pursuing an accounting or finance degree with a strong academic record
- Must be entering Junior or Senior year
- Proficiency in Excel, Access, and Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented, critical thinker with strong analytic skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as an individual or within groups
- Must be a team player and self-starter
ADA Requirements
- Ability to sit at a desk most of the working day and walk short distances
- Manual dexterity, speed, and accuracy in handling office equipment
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption
- Ability to work in close proximity to other individuals
- Ability to carry light to moderate objects (e.g., files, small objects, and supplies) a short distance
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move objects up to 15 lbs
Pay
USD $20.00 - USD $28.00 per hour (non-exempt, part-time). Benefits eligibility is more limited for this role.
