Financial Counselor (FT)

About the role

As a Financial Counselor at Central Florida Behavioral Hospital, you will provide financial counseling services to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their insurance coverage and financial obligations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive financial counseling to patients and their families.
• Work closely with insurance companies to resolve billing disputes and ensure accurate patient payments.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients and their families to enhance their understanding of their financial responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding patient financial matters.
• Collaborate with other departments to address complex financial issues and improve patient outcomes.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare financial counseling role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing and coding practices.

Qualifications

• Experience working with Medicaid and Medicare patients.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually.
