About the role
As a Financial Counselor at Central Florida Behavioral Hospital, you will provide financial counseling services to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their insurance coverage and financial obligations.Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive financial counseling to patients and their families.
- Work closely with insurance companies to resolve billing disputes and ensure accurate patient payments.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding patient financial matters.
- Collaborate with other departments to address complex financial issues and improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare financial counseling role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of healthcare billing and coding practices.
Qualifications
- Experience working with Medicaid and Medicare patients.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
