Financial Counselor

Role Overview: This position serves as a program expert and lead resource for funding programs, ensuring patients are screened and qualified for assistance. Responsibilities include: Reviewing patient accounts, verifying funding eligibility, assisting with public assistance applications, and ensuring accurate billing and documentation. Key duties: Supporting financial assessments, maintaining positive relationships with agencies and patients, monitoring workflow, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Qualifications and Skills: High school diploma (college preferred), four years of experience in financial eligibility determination, proficiency with medical software and MS Office, knowledge of public assistance programs, insurance verification, and managed care. Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential. Bilingual in Spanish and certification in ACA are preferred. Additional Requirements: Completing annual training, staying updated on industry trends, maintaining regulatory knowledge, and promoting teamwork.
