Coastal Fertility Specialists is growing and has an immediate opening for a Financial Counselor who wants to make a difference by helping couples with infertility start the family of their dreams. This is an incredibly rewarding career as over 95% of couples trying to conceive will do so with our help.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all insurance and eligibility information is obtained and entered into the system accurately.
• Obtain prior authorizations before fertility treatments.
• Conduct financial counseling with patients prior to fertility treatment, covering patient financial obligations, billing practices, and financing options.
• Collect cycle deposits prior to fertility treatments.
• Work closely with peers and communicate with a high level of professionalism.
• Effectively utilize virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication such as email and video conferencing.
• Multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Calculate financial costs using a firm understanding of deductibles, coinsurance, and allowable amounts.

Requirements

• At least two years of prior experience obtaining insurance information and communicating with individuals about sensitive matters in a medical office setting.
• Firm understanding of deductibles, coinsurance, and allowable amounts.
