Role Overview This position involves interviewing patients at entry to assess and advise on the appropriate funding program, determine eligibility, and ensure patients are screened for assistance. Responsibilities Conduct patient interviews to establish financial eligibility for government and patient assistance programs.Verify insurance coverage, understand managed care arrangements, and assist with public assistance forms.Resolve financial issues by analyzing information and coordinating with third-party payors, physicians, and patients.Communicate effectively with patients, families, government entities, and staff, providing counseling on payment policies and assistance options. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of two years experience in financial eligibility determination in healthcare settings.Proficiency with computers, medical software, and insurance verification procedures.Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and basic mathematical ability.Excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, and ability to handle stressful situations.Basic medical terminology knowledge preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.
