Overview

Responsibilities

• Charge entry
• Application of coding and billing guidelines
• Insurance verification
• Obtaining service authorizations
• Reviewing patient account details
• Maximizing collections
• Providing financial counseling to patients

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of business, financial, or physician practice experience
• Knowledge of CPT and diagnosis coding preferred
• Experience with the EPIC system preferred
• A four-year degree may substitute for two years of required financial or physician office experience
• An associate degree or equivalent coursework may substitute for one year of required experience

Qualifications

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to professionally collect payments and provide financial counseling to patients
• Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and resolve issues effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining a high level of customer service
