About the role

The Controlling Intern will support the Controlling Department in analysis, reporting, and steering. They will gain exposure to a manufacturing finance environment, including financial reporting, analysis, and steering.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Controlling group with requisition steering, creation of reports and presentations to ensure financial transparency and decision making.
  • Analyzes technology costs to support Controlling group.
  • Supports regular financial reporting.
  • Serves as a point person for Controlling of Plant Spartanburg Departments and Technologies.
  • Supports regular forecast reporting.
  • Conducts research and conceptualizes new ideas.
  • Coordinates and supports focused, community-based events and initiatives.
  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets information to evaluate the landscape against business strategies.
  • Stays abreast of best practices and recommends relevant initiatives for activities and actions.
  • Provides regular input on enhancing processes and practices.
  • Partners with stakeholders to enable successful prioritization, development, delivery, and adoption of program goals.
  • Prepares PowerPoint slide decks for presentations and supports preparation for meetings.
  • Attends and participates in project team meetings.
  • Schedules the use of meeting room facilities on an as-needed basis.
  • Performs other administrative duties and special projects as assigned by project team members.

Requirements

  • Pursuing undergraduate business-related degree.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • German language skills (preferred).
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
  • Completes and passes a substance abuse test before the work term.
