As Financial Controller, you'll play a key leadership role in the financial success of the hotel, partnering closely with the General Manager and department leaders to drive performance, ensure financial integrity, and support strategic decision-making. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our operation and serve as a key finance leader supporting day-to-day operations. This role functions as the right hand to the General Manager, combining deep accounting expertise with strong operational partnership across the property. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes with accuracy and timelinessOversee full accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, payroll, income audit, and purchasingOwn budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple revenue streamsManage audit, compliance, tax-related reporting, and internal control processesOversee cash flow, multi-entity financial activity, and capital planning initiativesAct as a finance business partner to operational leadersTranslate financial data into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholdersDrive process improvements across systems, reporting tools, and workflowsEnsure consistency and accuracy across financial systems and reporting platforms Preferred Qualifications 2-3 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership responsibilityPrior experience as:Controller ORAssistant General ManagerDirect hotel experience required Key Competencies Deep understanding of operational workflows and their financial impactStrong cross-functional collaboration and business partnership mindsetAbility to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance teamsHands-on leadership style with a willingness to operate “in the weeds” while maintaining a strategic lensHighly organized with strong execution, ownership, and follow-through What Success Looks Like Financial reporting is accurate, timely, and trusted—no surprisesFinance is actively driving business performance, not just reporting itStrong, collaborative relationships exist across all departmentsAccounting operations run smoothly with effective controls and processes Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $60,000 - $70,000Bonus: ~10% performance-basedFull benefits package: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with matchPaid time off + holidays Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
